Ahlam’s project in France – Humain après tout

While being a volunteer of the European Solidarity Corps in France, Ahlam put in place her own initiative of solidarity with “Humain après tout” a photobook about emotions !

” I did my project around different neighborhoods in Île-de-France. I concluded it with an exhibition on 11 at Fontnay sous Bois. I interviewed several people I met through my volunteering, including other volunteers, residents and some workers. I asked each one of them questions about emotions. I created a book with all the answers. Each chapter talks about a different emotion. In finished my project by exposing everything at the exhibition.

I think this project helped me, and everyone involved, to better see and understand other people’s points of view. We can all experience different emotions in the same situation in different ways, but there isn’t a single right way to feel. Everyone has a different past, so we should stop for a moment, try to understand others, and see through their eyes.”

This initiative was supported along the CLIC project. C.L.I.C. for “Coordinating Locally in order to Increase More Changes with  the European solidarity Corps” is a cooperation partnership we participate  in with 9 other like-minded organisations from 9 European countries. Together, we want to increase the impact and the visibility of the European  Solidarity Corps in our communities, while providing young people with a  strong educational value along their volunteering projects.
