Ainhoa’s project in Belgium – Children’s drawings

While being a volunteer of the European Solidarity Corps in Belgium, Ainhoa put in place her own initiative of solidarity with Children’s drawings !

” My personal project is based on a tribute to the drawings of children from 5 to 7 years old from the village of Havelange and surroundings.

A tribute to children, to drawing, to free artistic expression and to art. A tribute to all those little artists who, without knowing it or wanting to, create works of art for many of us adults.

Throughout my project I have seen children work on their free form of expression when making some of their first drawings. I have always been passionate about children’s drawings, how they express themselves through their strokes, shapes and colours. Each one has their own identity and personality reflected in this medium such as drawing and painting, creating unique, pure and sincere works.

Children’s drawings are important, so I wanted to make a catalogue in tribute to all these drawings, giving visibility to this children’s art, which is often not valued as it deserves.

A catalogue for the admiration of parents, children, teachers, educators, artists or anyone who loves children’s art as much as I do.

In a society where we live constantly influenced by stimuli implanted in us civilly and socially, children are the only ones who, without knowing it, create free works of art full of sincere meaning.

Children are always teaching us vital things that we adults forget every day; it is we who must learn from them.

So this project is for all of you, great little artists.

Thanks.”

This initiative was supported along the CLIC project. C.L.I.C. for “Coordinating Locally in order to Increase More Changes with  the European solidarity Corps” is a cooperation partnership we participate  in with 9 other like-minded organisations from 9 European countries. Together, we want to increase the impact and the visibility of the European  Solidarity Corps in our communities, while providing young people with a  strong educational value along their volunteering projects.
