Amalya’s project in France – European Ambassadors

While being a volunteer of the European Solidarity Corps in the Rhône Alpes-Auvergne, Amalya put in place her own initiative of solidarity with European Ambassadors

Amalya used the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) as a guiding principle for her project, leading sessions with students to introduce them to the 2030 Agenda.

Between October and December 2024, she organized integration workshops for refugees and migrants (CV, cooking, dance, digital), focusing primarily on inclusion and reducing inequalities (SDG 10). At the same time, she also launched a small project to make the volunteer center more welcoming, helping to create a sustainable environment for future ESC students.

In February 2025, she proposed a recycling project where students would make natural soap and detergent, directly linked to health (SDG 3) and responsible consumption (SDG 12). Also in February, she organized a carnival to showcase the world’s different traditions, a way to promote cultural diversity and peace (SDGs 10 and 16).

In March 2025, with the support of MFR staff, she led Erasmus+ workshops to discuss mobility, intercultural exchanges, and openness to Europe, which align with quality education (SDG 4) and international cooperation (SDG 17).

Finally, in April 2025, she led an Erasmus+ school exchange in Italy (Piacenza), where young people shared technical and artistic skills, and she launched an organic deodorant-making workshop, again to raise awareness about health and responsible consumption (SDGs 3 and 12).

Throughout the project, she managed to mix concrete and creative actions with themes of solidarity, ecology and diversity, always linking this to the SDGs.

This initiative was supported along the CLIC project. C.L.I.C. for “Coordinating Locally in order to Increase More Changes with  the European solidarity Corps” is a cooperation partnership we participate  in with 9 other like-minded organisations from 9 European countries. Together, we want to increase the impact and the visibility of the European  Solidarity Corps in our communities, while providing young people with a  strong educational value along their volunteering projects.
