Eszter’s project in Hungary – Board game nights

While being a volunteer of the European Solidarity Corps in Hungary, Eszter put in place her own initiative of solidarity with board game nights !

The purpose of this event series was to engage local young people, bring them together and get them know the organization of Egyesek. During the board game nights, they made new connections and also gained knowledge about Egyesek. Young people from Szécsény were included in the planning phase and then also in the promotion.

“We organised the event series at a local restaurant, bringing various board games, cards, and decorations. We also had themed nights such as Christmas and Valentine’s Day. My most important role was to make posters, promotional videos, advertising content, and to document them. In my opinion, the youth are eager to take part in these events and enjoy them. In this way, we can make an impact on the locals’ social life, bring them together, and take steps for a strong community.“

This initiative was supported along the CLIC project. C.L.I.C. for “Coordinating Locally in order to Increase More Changes with  the European solidarity Corps” is a cooperation partnership we participate  in with 9 other like-minded organisations from 9 European countries. Together, we want to increase the impact and the visibility of the European  Solidarity Corps in our communities, while providing young people with a  strong educational value along their volunteering projects.
