Hakim’s project in Belgium – “ESC Talk”

While being a volunteer of the European Solidarity Corps in Liège, Hakim put in place his own initiative of solidarity.  He created “ESC Talk”, available on social networks !

ESC Talk is a gateway to ESC volunteering ! Hakim published 8 interviews of ESC volunteers in projects in Belgium. Each episode features a volunteer, their life during his volunteering period, their motivations for joining their project, obstacles and difficulties they faced and their advice for future volunteers who wish to apply.

Hakim did the preparation and the shooting of the videos. “I gained more experience in preparing an interview, shoot it, preparing the questions,

welcoming the guest and make him/her comfortable to talk on camera, post the videos and promote them to reach more people.”

This project surely sparked interest ” I received messages on my personal social medias as well as the social media platforms where I’ve posted the video, people asking how can they become volunteers ” says Hakim.

Already 8 episodes are available on Facebook, Instagram and Tik-tok !

This initiative was supported along the CLIC project. C.L.I.C. for “Coordinating Locally in order to Increase More Changes with  the European solidarity Corps” is a cooperation partnership we participate  in with 9 other like-minded organisations from 9 European countries. Together, we want to increase the impact and the visibility of the European  Solidarity Corps in our communities, while providing young people with a  strong educational value along their volunteering projects.
