What challenge inspired this recipe?
More and more organizations face difficulties accommodating volunteers on projects as rent prices are going up. Letting volunteers find their own accommodation can take a long time and prove to be even more expensive. There needs to be a more sustainable way. We partnered with the city’s student dormitory. Volunteers can stay for shorter ESC project in modern equipped dorms with breakfasts provided for a reasonable price.
Ingredients :
Some time and funds to finance the apartments.
Step by step guide
It is important to find local student dormitories that have free rooms that they can rent. Also, you have to be sure they satisfy the minimum standard.
Important to highlight! One of the advantages of this practice is that the volunteers are surrounded by other young people and so the social part of their volunteering experience can be easier. |
Before you start cooking, keep in mind…
This practice is mostly suited for towns and cities where there is a bigger struggle to find cheap accommodation.
