What challenge inspired this recipe?
ESC volunteers don’t have a lot of budget to spend on leisure time activities. We therefore try to support them in finding activities for their leisure time that are free of charge or with very low participation fees.
Ingredients :
- Resources to research, collect, and share the information.
Step by step guide
- Research any activities, cultural or social offers that are for free (or with low participation fee) in the area of the volunteer’s hosting placement, e.g. exhibitions, tours, festivals, events, …
- Research any discount possibilities or specific offers for the age group of the volunteers (e.g. in Austria most public museums are for free for anyone below the age of 19).
- Create an overview with the info
- Share the document with the participants at project star
- Side note: maybe a document like this already exists in your country (created by e.g. another lead organization or by a public institution) – check first before you start the process 🙂
