What challenge inspired this recipe?
In almost every city there is a public library – or many.
Taking a card for the volunteer can be a nice way to encourage her/him to go to the library, not only for books but more specifically for maps, comics, dvd, movies etc. Sometimes different types of media is unblocked online such as movies or CD for card owners.
It’s a way to become familiar with the local culture, have access to a quite peaceful place, and not spend on cultural items (the volunteer’s allowance is not that high!).

Step by step guide
Taking note of the librabry’s opening hours, and take a 2-hour slot to get there with the volunteer(s), with all the necessary documents, to create an account.
Do it during the first month, and make a small visit of the place.

You need to have a local proof of residence most of the times to have access to the city’s facilities.
