Meet Tamara !
Volunteer at XENA (Center for Exchanges and Intercultural
Dynamics), in Italy.
While being a volunteer of the European Solidarity Corps in Padova, Tamara put in place her own initiative of solidarity with “Life is movement”

For her CLIC personal project of solidarity, Tamara organized a series of activities for mothers and children. The first day was dedicated to the mothers, who took part in a yoga class followed by a Latin dance class. Each session lasted about an hour and gave the mothers time to focus on their own well-being.
She also organized an activity for children centered on psychomotor games, where they played together in dynamic and engaging ways that encouraged movement and cooperation. Finally, Tamara held a joint activity for mothers and children based on ceramics. Using a projector, ceramic tools, and colors, participants explored their creativity while spending time together.
Tamara considers the project a success because it promoted healthy habits and routines, both physically and mentally. The activities created a safe and inclusive space where mothers and children could connect, share experiences, and support each other. The positive feedback, including requests to continue weekly classes, showed the added value of her initiative.
Through this experience, Tamara improved her organizational and communication skills, as well as her ability to adapt activities to different ages and needs. She also grew more confident in taking initiative and leading groups, and she valued the collaboration with educators and mothers that made the activities run smoothly.

This initiative was supported along the CLIC project. C.L.I.C. for “Coordinating Locally in order to Increase More Changes with the European solidarity Corps” is a cooperation partnership we participate in with 9 other like-minded organisations from 9 European countries. Together, we want to increase the impact and the visibility of the European Solidarity Corps in our communities, while providing young people with a strong educational value along their volunteering projects.
